Do essential oils really work for anxiety? Yes, they do.
Several clinical studies show that aromatherapy with essential oils lowers stress and anxiety.
Here’s one fun test they did: Half the patients waiting in a dentist office were treated to either lavender or orange aromas. The other half were exposed to music only or nothing at all.
The patients who had the aromatherapy were calmer and in a better mood than either of the other groups (1).
As a result, I’ve already spoken to my dentist about diffusing essential oils in her office!
